It’s no secret that good lighting can make or break a room’s ambience. Dutch-Kiwi designer Sabine Marcelis knows this better than anyone. After working with luxury brands like Fendi and Hem, Sabine wanted to make her work accessible to a wider audience — so when Ikea called to collaborate on a lighting line, it was a match made in heaven. “I had total creative freedom with Ikea, which was really important to me. The designs that are now presented to the world are exactly the same as my first ideas,” says the designer.
